Open Day for 47 Universities Organized by BISTU

Beijing, 7th May 2023 (BISTU)--- BISTU successfully organized the open day of 47 universities for 2023 students at Taihang campus on 7th May 2023. The event offered one-stop service for students and their parents in information about universities. It was also the very first open day event after BISTU moved to the New Campus. The event was attended by Secretary Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee, Deputy Secretary Yu Shijie of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Fang Deying, Vice President Xiao Zhisong, and Director Du Shizhi (member of Standing Committee of CPC BISTU Committee).  

 

 

 

The open day organized by BISTU was attended by Employment and Entrepreneurship Center for Students of Beijing-based Universities and Beijing Service Center for Education and Examination of Beijing Municipal Education Commission as well as 47 universities inclusive of Renmin University of China, Beihang University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law, Central University of Finance and Economics, etc.  

 

The booths of universities welcomed cohorts after cohorts of candidates and their parents who received satisfactory answers and publicity materials from the universities.  

 

As host of the event, BISTU explained admissions policies, class profiles, academic research and teaching at the University, and employment and entrepreneurial choices of graduating students. All 10 schools offering undergraduate programs showed their strengths and feature programs while communicating effectively with candidates and their parents.  

 

Taking this opportunity, the University organized on-site presentation, in-depth communication, experiencing intelligent classrooms, visiting canteens and halls of residence, and roadshow for robots, which showed BISTU achievements in academic development, characteristics of programs, talent cultivation, student development, academic research, social service, and international exchange and communication. It would further improve social reputation and academic influence of the University.  

The event was provided service and support by faculties and student volunteers as well as a number of offices and divisions of the University, including General Administration Office, Publicity Department, Academic Affairs Office, Office for Admissions and Career Consultancy, International Cooperation Department, Logistics Management Department, Office for Construction of the New Campus (Infrastructure Office), Office for Safety and Security, Information and Network Center, Office for Management Committee of the New Campus, and University Youth League Committee.  

 

Moving into the New Campus served as an important opportunity for the University which has embarked on a new journey of academic development based on building doctoral programs to provide service with national development strategy and optimize layout of academic programs and disciplines. Integration between the University and local government would be strengthened with focus on complementary advantages in regional development, cooperation in labs, school-enterprise collaboration, and commercialization of research achievements. Facing with new challenges in new situations, the University will fully implement the guideline of fostering virtue through education, consolidate our educational features, and build a university to the satisfaction of our people.
