BISTU Honored in North China Section of China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge with Outstanding Performance

Beijing, 10th August, 2021 (BISTU)—    BISTU teams are honored with 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, and 1 third prize in “Engineering Design and Application for Intelligent Manufacturing: Automation in Discrete Industries”, North China section of “Siemens” China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge. The Section is held in Beijing Jiaotong University and attended by a number of universities such as Beijing Institute of Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Tiangong University, etc.  

 

Guided by the principle of “Focusing on cultivation and participation, aspiring to engineering and excellence”, the Challenge aims at promoting universities’ education on practical engineering competences and strengthening engineering design, hands-on skills, engineering innovation, and engineering R&D for students at universities. Automation School of BISTU has always paid enough attention to quality of talent cultivation, particularly nurturing innovative and practical competences of students. With support and guidance of supervising teachers, lab teachers and lecturers, six teams composed of students from School of Automation finally attend the North China Section of the Challenge. The competition and exchange with counterparts have greatly enhanced professional skills and hands-on skills of students in engineering.  

 

“Siemens” China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge, sponsored by Steering Committee of Automation Majors of Ministry of Education, Siemens (China), and China Simulation Federation, is a state-level A-category subject competition. It has become the largest competition for students in the field of automation since its foundation in 2006.
