The Third BISTU Culture and Art Festival Successfully Concludes

Beijing, 14th June, 2019, (BISTU)— The Third BISTU Culture and Art Festival successfully concludes on the evening of 11th June, 2019. The closing ceremony is attended by Vice President Xu Baojie, Vice President Chen Gang, and over 300 faculties, staff, and students from all schools and is hosted by Ma Shaohui, Director of BISTU Youth League Committee.  


Xu Baojie announces award winners of teams of excellence for the Third BISTU Culture and Art Festival and presents prizes, together with Vice President Chen Gang, to all award winners.    


In his closing remark, Chen Gang extends sincere thanks to all faculties, staff and students who have generously offered their support and help with the Festival. He points out that successful completion of the Culture and Art Festival owes greatly to coordination of all divisions and all schools, which shows strong cohesive affinity of BISTU. It is also the source of impetus for BISTU to build a best university in the future. Seizing the opportunity of the 70th anniversary of foundation of People’s Republic of China, the Culture and Art Festival vigorously launches a patriotic campaign among students, faculties and staff, publicizes and carries forward fine traditional Chinese culture, and deepens their love of traditional culture. He hopes that all schools and divisions shall review the even in a timely manner and that students shall make the best of themselves at BISTU via constantly strengthening cultural and art qualities.  


The Third BISTU Culture and Art Festival, themed on Wholehearted love for the Party, Building dreams in the New Era”, is an important move of BISTU in carrying forward Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in a more purposeful and determined manner, implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC, implementing the spirit of national conference on ideological education in higher educational institutions, implementing the spirit of national and municipal conferences on education, and facilitating development of “construction of five environments”. The Festival contains 34 activities in three major sections, i.e., soul of the time, light of dream, and journey of encouragement. It attracts and is well received by over 20,000 person times of undergraduate students, postgraduate students, international students, faculties, and staff of BISTU. Over 300 media reports are produced in the University to cover the event.  


On the closing ceremony, the University also commends students’ associations and supervisors who have participated in the Festival and offered exceptional performances and services. Following the closing ceremony, BSITU Wind Band offers a wonderful performance of music masterpieces.
