Beijing, 10th November, 2021 (BISTU)— BISTU Working Conference on Undergraduate Admissions in 2021, attended by Vice President Fang Deying, directors of related divisions and offices, deans and secretaries of BISTU schools, department chairs, and admission officers, successfully completes on 10th November 2021. The Working Conference is hosted by Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CPC BISTU Committee.
Zhou Zhicheng announces the decision on commending faculties and staff for their outstanding contributions and achievements in 2021 undergraduate admissions and present awards to collectives, departments, and individual winners.
Fang Deying speaks highly of the achievements BISTU has made in 2021 undergraduate admissions and extends thanks to all faculties and staff for their outstanding contributions. Offering an analysis from the perspective of “new situations with fresh challenges”, Fang Deying says that problems in teaching, academic discipline construction and talent cultivation as are reflected in admissions shall be well tackled. He emphasizes that we shall make active plans, deepen supply side reform, optimize our talent cultivation plan, and strengthen publicity of BISTU admissions. With innovative, diversified means, we are to bring undergraduate admissions of BISTU in 2022 to a new, higher level.
Fang Deying raises requirements on 2022 admissions in three respects. Firstly, active planning is requested to build a sustainable talent cultivation system, i.e., combination of demand-admissions – cultivation – employment, with distinctive features in information technology. Secondly, aiming at enhancing the quality of talent cultivation, the plan of talent cultivation shall be optimized and the mode innovated and diversified. And thirdly, a diversity of measures is to be taken in admissions publicity.
Director Wang Lei of Office for Admission and Career Consultation delivers a report on undergraduate admissions of BISTU in 2021. Dean Xie Ruifeng of School of Applied Sciences shares his experiences in admissions publicity and mobilization of all faculties and staff to participate in admissions. Vice Dean Zhou Zhehai of School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering talks about how to improve source quality in admissions. And Vice Dean Hou Xia of School of Computer Science shares the experiences and thinking of contributing to admissions publicity.
