President Wang Yongsheng meets with Academician Jiang Song. Themed on “PN Methods on Positive Asymptotic Filtering of Radiation Transmission Equation in Grey Model”, Academician Jiang Song delivers an academic report for young faculties and students at Xiaoying Campus. The report, hosted by Vice President Chen Xin, is very informative with profundity and an easy-to-understand approach and wins tremendous applauses of students and faculties.
Jiang Song, research fellow of Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics, Academician of Chinese Academy of Science, Chair of Science Department of National Natural Science Foundation of China. His major research interests include mathematical theory of compressible fluid dynamics and computational methods and application. He has made a series of achievements in well-posed theory of compressible Navier-Stokes equation and mathematical analysis of Rayleigh-Taylor hydrodynamic instability. A number of computational methods raised by Jiang Song and his colleagues have provided feasible solutions to quite some problems. He has been granted Second Prize in National Natural Science Award, First Prize in Military Science and Technology Advancement, Science and Technology Award of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, and Su Buchin Applied Mathematics Prize.
