BISTU Holds Specialized Meeting on Safety in Production and Management of Hazardous Chemicals

Beijing, 6th November, 2020 (BISTU)— BISTU Meeting on Safety in Production and Management of Hazardous Chemicals successfully concludes on 6th November 2020 at Xiaoying Campus. The Meeting is addressed by President Wang Yongsheng, hosted by Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CCP BISTU Committee, and attended by Vice President Chen Gang, Vice President Ma Qinghong, Vice President Yu Shijie, Vice President Chen Xin, and directors and deans of relating divisions and schools.  

 

Wang Yongsheng stresses that the three-year special campaign for safety in production is approved by General Secretary Xi Jinping. It shows the strategic, comprehensive care and support of Central Party Committee with safety in production. All divisions and schools of the University must strengthen their political awareness and be fully aware of the important implications of this Campaign.  

Wang Yongsheng points out that we shall accurately understand the general requirements and major missions in this Campaign and lay focus on the general objective “elimination of hidden perils by the roots”. We shall invest efforts and energy in learning, publicizing and implementing important statements of General Secretary Xi Jinping on safety in production. A multi-tier management and governance system for hidden perils shall be established. And importance will be attached to key areas while responsibilities in respect of safety shall be clarified for all divisions and schools.  

Wang Yongsheng emphasizes that safety in production is a major concern all through the time. Key sectors in safety in production and collaboration to achieve effectiveness deserve our attention. He again stresses that safety in production and management of hazardous chemicals remain important issues for the University.  

Zhou Zhicheng says that firstly we shall carefully, seriously organize activities of learning and implement the spirit of the Meeting. Secondly, relating documents of the University on the Campaign and on safety management of hazardous chemicals shall be thoroughly understood and seriously implemented. And thirdly, all faculties and staff shall be responsible and coordinate to build a better, safer campus.  

 

Director Cui Kai of Office for Security explains documents of the University on the Campaign and on safety management of hazardous chemicals. Director Zheng Zhaoyi of Logistics Management Division offers an introduction to safety in production on campus. And Deputy Director Wang Hongjun of Office for Scientific Research introduces status quo of hazardous chemicals management of the University.
