Commendation Meeting on Employment of Graduating Students Successfully Conclude at BISTU

Beijing, 11th December, 2019 (BISTU)— Commendation meeting on employment of graduating students of BISTU successfully concludes at Xiaoying Campus of the University. The meeting summarizes related work in employment of graduating students of BISTU, commends collectives and individuals of excellence in this regard, and makes future arrangements for employment of students who are to graduate in 2020. The meeting, hosted by Vice President Xu Baojie, is attended by Secretary General Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee, President Wang Yongsheng, Vice President Chen Gang, directors of relating divisions and offices, and deans of all schools.     



Wang Chuanliang presents honor medals and certificate of honors to divisions, colleges, and individual who have performed excellently in supporting students’ job-hunting in 2019. Four schools are honored with the award for excellence in students’ job-hunting, four schools honored with quality award for students’ job-hunting, and three schools honored with best service provided for students’ employment. Altogether 11 individuals are honored with the award of advanced individuals for students’ employment.  


On behalf of the University, Wang Yongsheng extends sincere congratulations to the commended schools, divisions, and individuals and sincere gratitude to all faculties and staff who have actively contribute to students’ employment. He points out that the University, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, seriously implements policies of the Central Party Committee and Beijing Municipality, and has made outstanding achievements. He also offers an analysis on the fields worth improving in the future. Firstly, reform on supply-side demand is yet to be deepened and interconnectivity between admissions and graduation shall be organically strengthened. Secondly, tracing mechanism for graduated students is yet to be perfect and thus there is now no long-term mechanism or feedback mechanism for dynamic evaluation in this regard. And thirdly, it is yet to establish a complete awareness for industry-oriented guidance in students’ employment.  

With regard to guidance of and support with job-hunting of students who are to graduate in 2020, Wang Yongsheng requests that firstly we shall further the degree of agreement between cultivation of talents and demand of jobs. Secondly, interconnectivity between admissions and job-hunting upon graduation shall be established to build an ecological system for talent cultivation. And thirdly, the quality of employment of students deserves great attention. He hopes that issues related to employment of students shall be highlighted and all shall work actively to guarantee quality employment of students who are to graduate in 2020.  


Chen Gang summarizes the work on employment of graduating students in 2019 and makes arrangements on issues related to employment of students who are to graduate in 2020. He points out that we have actually made achievements in this regard: the number of job fairs and the number of jobs offered increase dramatically; channels for job-hunting for graduating students are expanded; service system for employment of graduating students is being perfected; and the level of employment service provided for graduating students is further improved. With regard to employment of students who are to graduate next year, Chen Gang emphasizes that firstly all shall enhance political awareness and recognize the importance of this issue. Secondly, issues related to employment of graduating students shall be scientifically guided. Thirdly, service system shall be further perfected. And fourthly, statistics shall be further applied and all issues in this regard shall be strictly regulated.  

Dean Cao Lin of School of Information & Communication Engineering, Deputy Secretary Wang Jin of School of Foreign Studies of CPC BISTU Committee, and tutor Li Huayan of School of Automation share their experiences in management and service provided for employment of graduating students.
