Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology Visited BISTU to Explore Cooperation

Beijing, 5th March 2024 (BISTU)--- Aiming at implementing the strategy of invigorating China through science and technology and the strategy of innovation-driven development, exploring synergistic system between governments and universities, promoting integrated development of governments, industries, and universities, and cultivating new productive forces, the delegation of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information headed by Deputy Director Liu Weiliang visited BISTU on 4th March 2024. President Guo Fu met with the delegation.  

Liu Weiliang explained the background and implications of industry-education integration. On the Conference for High Quality Development of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, iSoftStone signed an agreement with Tongzhou District Government on in-depth cooperation in the field of new productive forces, network security, coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, and digitization of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center. An industrial zone, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Town for Information Technology Innovation, would be built in Tongzhou, which was expected to form a five-in-one, i.e., the integration of governments, industries, universities, researches, and applications, so as to finally build a model center of digital economy for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.  

With distinctive feature in information technology, advantages in industries, and strengths in electronic information and intelligent manufacturing, BISTU would make tremendous contributions to the strategy of innovation-driven development and coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and to development of advanced, high precision industry of Beijing. It was hoped that BISTU would participated in building Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Town for Information Technology Innovation to jointly promoting high quality development of information technology in Beijing. Liu Weiliang said.  

On behalf of BISTU, Guo Fu extended sincere thanks to Beijing Municipality and Tongzhou District Government for their support. He added that BISTU has been following the national development strategy of invigorating China through education and taking initiative in serving regional development. We have been dedicated to building a high level university of applied learning with distinctive feature in information technology and nurturing high-quality innovative talents. On the new development phase of the University, we are targeting at the demand of building Beijing into “four centers” and sparing no efforts to strengthen talent cultivation, industry-education integration, and school-enterprise cooperation with constantly-improving technologies and services.  

Guo Fu commented that the industry of information technology innovation, as new momentum of national economic development, has become a key industry in promoting economic digitization. Implementing the strategy of invigorating China through education and the strategy of serving Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration, BISTU seized opportunities in providing support with development of areas around Beijing and promoting joint-running education. We have made substantial achievements in science and technology innovation and commercialization of research projects. And we have rich experiences in school-enterprise cooperation and joint cultivation of talents. It indicated that the cooperation between BISTU and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology had a solid ground, a real demand, and an expectable bright future. The University would explore feasible ways to strengthen cooperation. Meanwhile, it was hoped that such two-way efforts would promote integration of education, talent, industry, and innovation so that both parties would add new momentum to industrialization and digitization of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center.  


Liu Huifu, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of iSoftStone, offered an introduction to the Company, iSoftStone Education, and the work on building Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Town for Information Technology Innovation. Liu Hui Fu expressed that the Company looked forward to working together with BISTU. He reiterated that combination of leading industrial resources of iSoftStone and strong strengths of BISTU in educational resources and research would definitely promote high-quality development of information technology innovation industry, which was aimed at making new contributions to development of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center and development of digital economy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.  

A detailed plan was report by iSoftStone on building Institute of iSoftStone Intelligence Technology for IT Innovation. Further details on cooperation were also explored by iSoftStone, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and BISTU.  

The meeting was chaired by Vice President Wang Xingfen and attended by Deputy Director Zou Genhong of Planning Office of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Deputy Director Liu Jia of Tongzhou District Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Chief Operation Officer Tan Shuai of iSoftStone Education, Director Huang Qian of Strategic Project Department of iSoftStone Education as well as directors of BISTU General Administration Office, Academic Affairs Office, Office for Admissions and Career Consultation, and External Liaison Office.
