Beijing, 26th November,2020 (BISTU)— Collective preparations for class teaching of ideological and political modules are organized by School of Marxism at the Library of Xiaoying Campus to explore how to better integrate the spirit of the fifth Plenary Session of the 19th National Congress of CCP into teaching of ideological and political modules. The event is attended by President Wang Yongsheng, Deputy Secretary Zhou Zhicheng of CCP BISTU Committee, deans of School of Marxism, and faculty representatives of the School and is hosted by Secretary Ye Chao of School Party Branch of CCP BISTU Committee.
Wang Yongsheng points out that the important implications of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th National Congress of CCP shall be learned, understood and accurately grasped based on actual educational development of the University. He emphasizes that firstly the spirit of the Plenary Session shall be thoroughly leaned and implemented so as to accurately understand the core menacing. We are to keep abreast of current situation, National strategy, changes of the times and social demands in the process of nurturing quality talents. The fundamental mission with code of morality for faculties shall be given top priority so that we would be able to nurture talents of the New Era who are capable of shouldering the great responsibility of rejuvenation of Chinese nation. Theoretical researches at School of Marxism shall be further enhanced with focus on theoretical innovation and practical application. We are to bring our strengths in academic disciplines, academic research and talent reserve to make due contributions to building a high level university with distinctive features in information technology.
Wang Yongsheng stresses that political nature, theoretical nature and systematic nature of ideological and political modules shall be highlighted in the process of delivering these modules in class. Wang Yongsheng says that CCP BISTU Committee will strengthen the planning in respect of team building, working mechanism, and faculty composition concerning ideological and political modules, aiming at effectively and efficiently teaching these modules in class.
Dean Zhang Jian delivers a report on implementation at the School of the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th National Congress of CCP. She expresses that the School has been publicized the Spirit via multiple means and has organized various seminars for faculties and staff to grasp the spirit. And collective class teaching preparations, in-class teaching, and academic discussion are the major means of implementing the spirit at the School.
Prof. Zhang Yunzheng, academic pacesetter of the School, says that publicity and leaning of the spirit of the plenary session shall be based on a principle of “clarified background, logical explanation, expanded content, association with real life, being interesting, and being informative ”. We shall actually integrate the spirit of the plenary session into teaching, research, academic discipline construction, and talent cultivation. Chair Hu Sa of Philosophical Department expresses that leaning and implementation of the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th National Congress of CCP shall be viewed as a key political mission. The bright, beautiful future depicted by the plenary session for the New Era will serve as a motivational power for students to march forward with resolution and confidence.
Faculty representatives Liu Yongcheng, Guo Chunyan, Zeng Yihong and Xi Hongmei share their experiences in respect of teaching and research in the field of ideological and political education.
The collective preparations further consolidate understanding of the importance of the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th National Congress of CCP and clarify the pathway through which the spirit of the plenary session is integrated into teaching of ideological and political modules. School of Marxism will continue deepening leaning and understanding of the spirit of the plenary session and bring into full play the role of ideological and political education as a main channel and field for students to learn the spirit of the plenary session.
