Wan Yongsheng Visit Beijing Railway Electrification School

Beijing, 20th December, 2019 (BISTU)—   BISTU President Wang Yongsheng, accompanied by Vice President Xu Baojie and deans and directors of School of Continuing Education, Academic Affairs’ Office, and Admissions and Career Consultation Office, visits Beijing Railway Electrification School on 19th December 2019 to explore cultivation of high-end skilled talents.  

 

Secretary Jiang Zhiqiang of CPC Beijing Railway Electrification School Committee and President Hu Dingjun of the School extend warm welcome to President Wang Yongsheng. Hu Dingjun produces a detailed introduction to the School in respect of history, educational features, talent cultivation, academic programs, teaching, and admissions.  

 

Following a brief introduction to BISTU, Wang Yongsheng stresses that the University closely centers on industrial development of the nation and of Beijing, actively adapts to development of the times, and successfully strengthens features in information technology and military industry. It is hoped that both institutions would work together to explore opportunities of future collaboration and improve current run-through pathway of talent cultivation. Field training resources of Beijing Railway Electrification School could sever as a good basis for complementary advantages between academic theories and practical professional skills. Meanwhile, preparations shall be made to offer pathways for students of technical schools to have the access to undergraduate degree programs. Then the two institutions would explore collaboration on a wider spectrum of areas for mutual progress purpose.  

Xu Baojie says that on one hand clarified and simplified planning on run-through pathway of talent cultivation shall be made. On the other hand, field training centers of Beijing Railway Electrification School shall be fully utilized for field practice of diploma students. Furthermore, we shall actively apply for support from Beijing Municipal Education Commission and work together to create opportunities for students in run-through programs to participate innovation and entrepreneurship contests organized for diploma students.  

 

Jiang Zhiqiang and Hu Dingjun then show Wang Yongsheng and other BISTU faculties around several training bases in the area of rail transit, Power over Ethernet, and electrical technology.  

The visit is aimed at laying a solid foundation for future, further collaboration between the two institutions. Both parties agree that collaboration will be strengthened in the future, on the basis of working together for the run-through pathway of talent cultivation, to make greater contributions for social, economic development of Beijing.
