President Wang Yongsheng Attends Inaugural Meeting of China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation and Delivers Keynote Speech

Beijing, 16th September, 2021 (BISTU)—  BISTU is expecting to play a greater role in strengthening mutual collaboration, says President Wang Yongsheng in his keynote speech on the inaugural meeting of China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation. Vice President Zhang Lin and directors of relating divisions also attend the meeting.  

 

Online and offline seminars on China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation are organized on the day. As one of distinguished guests, Wang Yongsheng delivers a key note speech. He points out that establishment of China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation complies with tendencies of the times and carries important implications. The Alliance includes quite a few universities with strong features in electronic information as well as famous enterprises in relating industries. A new model of talent cultivation could be built via integration of resources and complementation of strengths. Wang Yongsheng offers an all-around introduction to BISTU in the respect of general information, talent cultivation, and educational globalization. Wang Yongsheng points out that BISTU will strengthen collaboration with other members of the Alliance in respect of talent cultivation, integration between industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, training in vocational education, employment of graduating students, and science and technology innovation.  

 

 

During the meeting, Wang Yongsheng and other attendees are shown around Phase I of innovation center of Guilin University of Electronic Technology, listen to the report delivered by Guilin University of Electronic Technology in respect of talent cultivation, science and technology innovation, school-enterprise cooperation, and service provided to local economy, and attend the unveiling ceremony for School of Integrated Circuit of the University.  

 

China-ASEAN Alliance of Universities for Electronic Information Innovation, composed of universities of electronic information and technology in China and ASEAN countries as well as enterprises of relating industries, is supported by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government and its Big Data Development Bureau and Education Department. Currently the Alliance attracts 19 Chinese universities, 31 ASEAN universities, 92 Chinese enterprises, and 5 ASEAN enterprises. Establishment of the Alliance builds a new platform for China-ASEAN talent cultivation, science and technology innovation, and global collaboration in respect of electronic information and technology. It will boost exchange and communication with ASEAN countries to a broader spectrum.
