BISTU Approved Key Project in Block Chains by Ministry of Science and Technology

Beijing, 1st February 2023 (BISTU)--- Ministry of Science and Technology published in recent days a notice on approvals of key projects in block chains. Professor Jiang Wenbao from School of Information Management of BISTU was approved with Block chains technology on provable security and privacy protection, symbolizing a new progress of the University in this regard. The Project was led by Peking University and joined by 8 other institutions, including Tsinghua University, Institute of Information Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shaanxi Normal University, China Mobile Information Technology Co. Ltd., Aisino Corporation, Beijing Shudun Information Technology Co. Ltd., and BISTU.  

BISTU was responsible for Regulatable block chains privacy transaction platform and model applications, a branch project and contributed to research on multi-layer protection of block chains privacy. The focus would be on development of regulatable block chain privacy transaction platforms which supported privacy protection and would be able to provide support with authorities in identifying and tracing abnormal transactions. Model applications would be developed in mobile identification, electronic invoices, and supply chain finance.   

 

Jiang Wenbao, professor of cyber space security at School of Information Management, Director of BISTU Lab of Cyber Space Security, guest researcher at Computer Network Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences, adjunct professor and Ph.D. supervisor of Xidian University, member of education and science popularization commission of Chinese Association for Cryptologic Research, and editorial member of Chinese Journal of Network Information Security, is the winner of 2017 innovation award for Chinese computer users and the first prize of science and technology in China Nonferrous Metals Industry in 2022.  

Block chains technology has become one of the major research focuses at School of Information Management. As of today, the School is carrying out a number of state level key projects such as vulnerability analysis tool development, tracing and detection technology for sensitive data online, cyber space safety innovation project for State Grid, research on identity and security support for State Grid, etc. High quality essays have been published on top journals such as IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Journal of Information Security Research, etc. The School would spare no efforts to making contribution to our objective of building a high level university with distinctive features in information technology.
