Upon invitation of School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, Professor Ruikang Wang visited BISTU on 13th November 2013 for the purposes of academic exchange and communication.

During his visit, Professor Wang offered a brief introduction to his research at University of Washington. He delivered a keynote speech titled Label Free Optical Imaging of 3D Tissue Morphology and Microcirculations in Vivo to over 150 students and faculties of the school.
In his keynote speech, Professor Wang shared with the students the latest result of the research conducted by him and his team in the fields like capillary circulation optical 3-D imagery technologies. Upon the request of students and faculties, Professor Wang also discussed with them on educational differences between US and China.
As a distinguished expert and scholar in the field of biophotonics and optical coherence tomography, Professor Ruikang Wang has published 200-odd journals and one book. He is also the co-editor of 12 books in his specialty fields.
