Beijing Municipal Key Lab of High Dynamic Navigation Technology Established at BISTU

BISTU-based Beijing Municipal Key Lab of High Dynamic Navigation Technology hosted the opening ceremony as well as the first general assembly of Academic Affairs Committee on 14th December at BISTU. Honoured guests attending the ceremony are Prof. Wang Shunting, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering & Director of the Lab’s Academic Affairs Committee; Chang Jiang Scholar Prof. Fu Mengyin and other 7 Committee members; Wan Rong, Director of Electronics Equipment Department of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Qi Daoduo, Deputy Director of Chaoyang District Science and Technology Committee. Dr. Liu Gonghui, President of BISTU also was present at the ceremony and assembly, together with Prof. Luan Zhongquan, Assistant to President, Prof. Wang Jiuhe, Standing Vice Dean of Postgraduate School, and Hou Junqi, Deputy Director of Office for Scientific Research.

President Liu Gonghui extended his warmest welcome to honoured guests and academic committee members and awarded letters of appointments to all members of academic affairs committee of the Lab.

Prof. Wang Shunting hosted the first assembly Academic Affairs Committee. Prof. Su Zhong delivered a report on orientation, research pathways, management system, 2013 research work and 2014 research plan.

Academic Committee members conducted full discussions on orientation, mechanism, research results and development plan of the Lab. The Committee agreed that research pathways of the Lab have been set to closely connect with demands of socio-economic development of Beijing and the nation, being highly feasible and clearly, reasonably planned. Featured research and fruitful results have been achieved in the field of high dynamic inertial devices, key technology of high dynamic navigation, and applied technology of high dynamic navigation. The general assembly unanimously approved the Lab’s 2013 report and 2014 planning. Academic Affairs Committee also suggested that the Lab strengthen cooperation with other units in the field of navigation and make innovative breakthroughs. They expected the Lab would grow into an industry propeller, a base for scientific research on high dynamic navigation, and an innovation platform that will promote the development of disciplines and industries and provide feasible solutions to key issues for the socio-economic development of Beijing and the nation.
