Beijing, 25th June 2026 (BISTU)--- Upon invitation of BISTU, Academician He You of Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered an academic report on frontier issues of AI at Shahe Campus on 24th June 2026. President Guo Fu and Vice President He Wei met with Academician He You.

During the meeting, both parties discussed issues concerning exploration of AI frontier technologies, cross-disciplinary academic exchange, information-enhanced academic research, etc.

The Academic Report was hosted by He Wei. Academician He You offered a systematic explanation of global research progress in frontier issues of AI from three core dimensions, i.e., theoretical innovation, technical application, and industrial development.

Centering on five key technologies, i.e., pre-trained large model, self-supervised learning, generative model, game intelligence, spatial intelligence, Academician He You produced an in-depth analysis on technological bottlenecks and iteration. The report also explored industrial development trend in autonomous driving, humanoid robot, AI for science, and general intelligent agent. He pointed out that generative AI now was leading all industries to a wholly-new stage of development.

The report resonated strongly with faculty and students. Heated discussions were then held on security of large model and cultivation of cross-disciplinary talents in AI field.
The report was joined by faculty and students of the University. Academician Seminar of the University, as a well-known brand in academic research, would offer more lectures and academic reports to support high-quality development of academic disciplines with high-end academic exchange and communication.
