Beijing, 18th November 2022 (BISTU)--- Academic Committee of Beijing Knowledge Management Research Base held its annual conference on 16th November 2022 via video links to summarize achievements in research and to make arrangements for future work.
The Conference was attended by Professor Wang Tongsan (CASS member) of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Wang Shouyang of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Li Shantong of Development Research Center of the State Council, Prof. Dong Xiaoying of Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management, Prof. Liu Yun of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Chen Bo of Development Research Center of the State Council, Prof. Yue Gaofeng of China National Institute of Standardization, Prof. Yang Weiguo of Renmin University of China, Prof. Zhang Bin of Renmin University of China, Prof. Guo Pei of China Agricultural University, Prof. Li Lin of Academy of Mathematics and System Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wu Qing (CEO of Pioneer Alliance Technology Co., Ltd.), etc. BISTU faculties attending the conference included Vice President Chen Xin, Prof. Ge Xinquan (chief expert and Director of Beijing Knowledge Management Research Base), Prof. Zhang Jian (Deputy Director of Beijing Knowledge Management Research Base), Vice Dean Jin Chunhua of School of Management and Economics, Vice Dean Liao Ganli of School of Management and Economics as well as faculties of Beijing Knowledge Management Research Base including Prof. Tang Wuxiang and Prof. Hou Junqi.

Chen Xin pointed out that Beijing Knowledge Management Research Base has seen great increase in research competences in recent years. It was expected that the Base would continue working hard to provide due support with high quality economic development in Beijing and construction of Beijing as a “center for international science and technology innovation”. Prof. Ge Xinquan extended gratitude to all academic committee members, contractors, all BISTU schools, and faculties of the Base and commented that the Base would further strengthen academic communication and exchanges with other institutions.
Liao Ganli delivered a report on research orientation and latest progress, research competence and achievements, research platform, management and operation of the Base, etc. She said that objective of the Base was to build a new-type high-end think-tank in line with high-precision advanced industries in Beijing.

Academic committee members made positive comments on research achievements of the Base and pointed out that the Base was featured for its technological orientation and a wide spectrum of scenarios of real application. Rapid progresses have been made in respect of studies on culture, quality, and customs. With regard to future development of the Base, they emphasized that fundamental research in big data and informatics should be stressed and combined with existing research achievements. Focus would be laid on theoretical innovation, proving consultancy for government decision making, and commercialization of research achievements.
