Beijing, 22nd November 2022 (BISTU)--- Professor Li Shaobo, Director of State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data based at Guizhou University, delivered an academic report themed on “Frontier technology and challenges of big data” on the third session of the seminar organized by School of Information Management on enhancement of research competences and academic discipline construction. The report was attended by Assistant to VP Lin Guoce, faculties of the School, faculties of Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Intellisense and Control of High-end Equipment, and faculties of Beijing Key Lab of Measurement and Control of Electromechanical System and was chaired by Dean Wang Hongjun of the School.  

Li Shaobo offered an introduction to achievements and latest progresses of State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data in respect of background of bid data, big data technology, application of big data, and practical application of big data in Guizhou Province. He expressed that big data as an important part of national digital economy would for sure provide great support with high-quality development of all industries in national economy and big data metauniverse would bring new energy to new-type industrialization. His report followed closely frontier technology with in-depth exploration of theories and practices. It broadened academic horizon of faculties and students and provided informative references for School of Information Management to strengthen big data technology-related subjects.  

Li Shaobo, Ph.D. supervisor of Software Engineering (first-tier discipline) and Mechanical Engineering (first-tier discipline) of Guizhou University and adjunct Ph.D. supervisor of Computer Software and Theories at Chinese Academic of Sciences University, is currently Director of State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data. He has been awarded a series of honors including outstanding talents of the new century (Ministry of Education), core experts of Guizhou Province, Innovative Talents of Guizhou Province, outstanding young talents in science and technology, excellent Ph.D. supervisors of Guizhou Province, etc.
