Beijing, 14th November 2022 (BISTU)--- The 2022 9th International Symposium On Test Automation & Instrumentation (ISTAI’2022), co-sponsored by BISTU and China Instrument and Control Society, was successfully organized online from 12th to 13th November 2022.  

President Wang Yongsheng addressed the opening ceremony as Honorary Chairman of ISTAI’2022 on 12th November 2022. Deputy Secretary-Chief Zhang Li of China Instrument and Control Society extended congratulations. And Vice President Chen Xin was present at the opening ceremony as the Chairman of ISTAI’2022. The Symposium, composed of one main venue and 3 sub-venues, was chaired by Vice Dean Xu Zhan of School of Information and Communication Engineering and faculties of Ministry Key Lab of Modern Measurement and Control Technology.  

Centering on “bionic perception, quantum sense, and intelligent service”, the Symposium was an important event in instrument and measurement. It provided an opportunity for researchers and engineers in the field of automated testing to communicate and show their latest progresses in research and in practice.  

Keynote speeches were respectively delivered by Professor Clarence de Silva from the University of British Columbia, Professor Alireza Bab-Hadiashar from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Professor Massimiliano Vasile from the University of Strathclyde, Professor Damien Coyle from Ulster University, Professor Zhang Haijun from University of Science and Technology Beijing, Professor Wang Xue from Tsinghua University, Professor Li Heyan from Shenzhen Technology University, and Professor Wang Hongjun from BISTU. More than 200 participants of the Symposium registered online were from higher educational institutions such as Xi’an Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Technology, Shandong University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, BISTU, etc. The sub-venues saw over 70 papers presented online. And collected papers would be published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology with EI indexed.  

ISTAI, a biennial event, was an international academic symposium co-sponsored by BISTU and China Instrument and Control Society. Originated in 2006, ISTAI’2022 was the 8th session and was co-organized by Ministry Key Lab of Modern Measurement and Control Technology, Electronic Measurement and Instrument Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, Beijing Municipal Key Lab of Electro-mechanical System Measurement and Control, Beijing Municipal Key Lab of High Dynamic Navigation Technology, Beijing Municipal Key Lab of Sensors, and Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Intellisense and Control of High-end Equipment. Great support was provided by IET, Chinese Journal of Scientific Instrument, Journal of Electronic Measurement and Instrument, Beijing Municipal Center for Commercialization of Science and Technological Achievements, Electronic Measurement Technology, etc.
