Prof. Zhu Lianqing Hit Final List of State Talent Plan

Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has just published a notice for State Talent Plan. Prof. Zhu Lianqing from School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering hit the final list and was awarded “Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contribution”. This is the very first time that faculties from BISTU has been awarded this top honour of China.

 

State Talent Plan was ignited in 1995 by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Ministry of Technology, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance, etc. This Plan aims at cultivating and sponsoring outstanding young and middle-aged experts in all fields of social and natural sciences. By the end of 2010, over 4100 scientists and experts have been selected for the list. They all have led national key research projects or key construction projects. In 2010 the central government has urged Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and other ministries to launch a new ten-year strategy for the Plan, in which it clearly points out that within the next ten years, about 4000 talents of all industries will be selected and sponsored. 

In 2013, 421 young and middle-aged experts and scientists from all industries nationwide came into the final list and were awarded “Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contribution”.
