Beijing, 31^st October 2022 (BISTU)--- BISTU delegation headed by President Wang Yongsheng and Vice President Chen Xin visited China Association of Inventions and met with Secretary Yu Huarong of CPC China Association of Inventions Committee (also Executive Chairman of Board Directors and Chief Secretary of Secretariat of the Association).  

Wang Yongsheng pointed out that China Association of Inventions was an important association in the field of intellectual property. Aiming at serving national development, serving all social circles, and serving all inventors, China Association of Inventions has been carrying forward its fine tradition and has made preeminent contributions to innovation and invention in China. Following his introduction to BISTU in respect of historical development features in education, talent cultivation, academic research, etc., Wang Yongsheng reiterated that General Secretary Xi Jinping has produced firm and clarified guidelines in the remarks on the 20^th National Congress of CPC for us to follow: Education, science and technology, and human resources are the foundational and strategic pillars for building a modern socialist country in all respects. It was hoped that the Association and the University would deepen collaboration in talent cultivation and academic research. We were to work together to achieve the goal of building China as a leading country in education, science and technology, and talent. Wang Yongsheng said.  

Yu Huarong extended warm welcome to BISTU delegation and pointed out that BISTU has formed distinctive features through a long history of engaging in education. Remaining true to its original aspiration of educating talents for the Part and for our nation, the University has cultivated a large number of talents and made substantial contributions. All outstanding talents of BISTU were welcome to join the Association. And the two institutions could explore collaboration in a wide spectrum of areas. It was expected that both parties would strengthen communication and exchange and achieve mutual beneficial cooperation in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence.  

Deputy Secretary Tang Dali of CPC China Association of Inventions Committee produced an introduction to the Association in history, development, and major missions. Deputy Secretary He Zhenfu of CPC China Association of Inventions Committee explained the areas of work where the Association would play a more important role in facilitating educational development. Information on research platform at BISTU, research projects, leading talents, research awards, major research areas, and academic collaboration was offered by Vice President Chen Xin. And Director Zhang Jian of Office for Scientific Research offered a brief introduction to commercialization of research achievements at BISTU.  

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretary Zhang Dezhe of Secretariat of China Association of Inventions (also Director of Financial Office), Director Wu Ying of Working Commission for Academicians and Experts, Director Han Bing of Exhibition Department, Director Zhu Hanfu of Organizational and Publicity Department, Deputy Director Gong Xiaoning of International Office, Deputy Director Song Lisi of Organizational and Publicity Department, and Deputy Director Cong Lixiao of Financial Office as well as Director Jia Bin of BISTU General Administration Office.
