Beijing, 18th October 2024 (BISTU)--- Six first-tier academic subjects, i.e., Instrumentation Science and Technology, Management Science and Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mathematics, are listed top 50, according to the Best Academic Subjects in China published by ShanghaiRanking on 15th October 2024.

BISTU is one of the top 5 universities administered by Beijing Municipality in terms of the number of academic subjects listed in ShanghaiRanking, with elite subject percentage reaching 46.1% (the number of listed subjects divided by total subjects of a university). Compared to the result of ShanghaiRanking in 2020 when BISTU firstly joined the list, Instrumentation Science and Technology rose by 3 on the position list, ranking 13th (top 18% of China). Management Science and Engineering ranked the 90th (top 39% of China), Control Science and Engineering ranked the 81st (top 41% of China), Mechanical Engineering ranked the 91st (top 41% of China), Information and Communication Engineering ranked the 84th (top 41% of China), and Mathematics ranked the 138th (top 49% of China).
