Beijing, 18th November 2022 (BISTU)--- Themed on “Application of green computing in carbon neutrality and peak carbon dioxide emissions”, the Green Computing Summit • 2022 Green Data Center Building and Operation Forum successfully concluded at Jingyi Hotel on 15th November 2022.
Supervised by Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Electronics, and Information System Power Technical Committee of China Power Supply Society and sponsored by Beijing Federation of Industrial Economics, and Facilitation League of China Green Data Centers, the Forum was co-organized by BISTU School of Computer Science and Beijing Municipal Key Lab of Internet Culture and Digital Communication and was held also via video links.
The Forum was addressed respectively by Professor Li Ning, Dean of BISTU School of Computer Science and Director of Computer Technology Committee of Beijing Institution of Electronics, Chairman Cui Jianxin of Beijing Federation of Industrial Economics, and Secretary-Chief He Chunhua of Computer Technology Committee of Beijing Institution of Electronics.
Speeches and discussions centered on latest progresses and development tendency of green computing technology. Bottlenecks and other issues concerning industrial development were also explored on the Forum.
Vice Dean Li Zhuo of School of Computer Science delivered on the main venue a keynote report on “Coordination between computing power and cloud computing, edge computer, and terminals in distributed intelligent computing”.
Vice Dean Zhang Wei of School of Computer Science chaired the “New generation information technology forum for Beijing-based universities”. Academic reports were respectively delivered by Chair Chai Yunpeng of Computer Department of Renmin University of China, Vice Dean Zhang Xi of School of Cyberspace Security of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Vice Dean Zhang Xun of School of Computer Science and Engineering of Beijing Technology and Business University as well as doctoral students including Yuan Zhaolin of University of Science and Technology Beijing and Zou Zhiyuan and Liu Wenzheng of BISTU.
Over 800 participants, including experts from IT industry, higher educational institutions, telecommunication industry, data centers, etc., professors, industrial customers, and journalists, attended the forum in the venues or via video links.
The Green Computing Summit • 2022 Green Data Center Building and Operation Forum, centering on hot topics such as green edge computing, IT energy saving, East Data and West Computing, artificial intelligence, integrated photovoltaic energy storage, UPS, and renewable energy, explored future development of green computing and green data centers.
