Beijing , September 18 (BISTU)---The 9th December saw grand launching ceremony of National Demonstration Centre on Experimental Teaching in Electronic Information and Control at BISTU. Mr. Li Ping, Director of Experimental Teaching Department of Higher Education Division, MOE, and Prof. Huang Kan, Commissioner of Beijing Municipal Education Commission graced the ceremony and unveiled the Centre with Prof. Liu Gonghui, President of BISTU. The ceremony was hosted by Prof. Xu Baojie, BISTU Vice President.

BISTU Centre on Experimental Teaching in Electronic Information and Control was established in 2000 and became a municipal level centre in 2007. In 2008, the Centre was listed as candidate for national level demonstration centres and was finally approved by MOE in 2012 after an all-around evaluation. It is the first national level experimental teaching centre in the field of electrical & electronic engineering among all universities supervised by Beijing Municipal Education Commission. Fruitful results have been achieved in the Centre in teaching system construction, experiment environment, nurturing students and a series of contests.

Prof. Liu Gonghui stated in opening speech that BISTU will provide due support with regard to future development of the Centre. He expected approval of the national level centre will ignite a further reform and innovation of BISTU’s experimental teaching.
Prof. Huan Kan talked about the successes that the Centre has made in the past decade. He believed this ceremony would make a new starting point for BISTU to build up a national, influential experimental teaching centre.
Senior members of Academic Affairs Office and Experimental & Training Centre for Electronic Information and Control, with all staff members of the Centre were present at the ceremony.
