Beijing, 27th April, 2015(BISTU)--- BISTU honorary professorship was conferred to Dr. Peter G. Klein, professor at Division of Applied Social Sciences, University of Missouri, on 13th May 2014. Vice President Feng Xichun presented the certificate on the ceremony hosted by Dr. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Ge Xinquan and Prof. Zhang Jian, Dean and Vice Dean of School of Economics and Management.

Professor Klein is currently teaching at University of Missouri. He is a famous scholar on enterprise theory. He was awarded doctoral degree in 1995 by University of California, Berkeley, supervised by Oliver Eaton Williamson, Nobel Prize winner of 2009 economics. His research mainly focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation. Prof. Klein has contributed greatly to organizational system, corporate management, and entrepreneurship and published a number of journals and essays on Journal of Management and Academy of Management Perspective of which he is also a deputy editor.

Upon invitation of BISTU, Prof. Klein will conduct a series of lectures for undergraduates, MBA, postgraduates, and faculties of School of Economics and Management. He also explored and communicated with Department of International Cooperation on future cooperation between the two universities.
Vice President Feng Xichun extended his warmest welcome to Prof. Klein. He said it is hoped that Prof. Klein could communicate and exchange with BISTU students and faculties. Joint research projects, students exchange programmes, and other cooperative projects shall be fully explored between the two institutions. Said Feng Xichun.
Prof. Klein expressed his thanks to BISTU for recognition of his work at the university. He expected that the two institutions could work even closer in future stages and he would continue to contribute to cooperation between the two universities.
