I am so proud to witness your excellent achievements with your hard work. I sincerely hope that in the future, no matter you are to continue to study or start your career, you could bear our university motto in mind--- diligence in learning and honour for life. By passing on positive energy I firmly hold that you will realize your dreams.” “Upon graduation, the University would like to listen to you for your advice and suggestions on research, service, and teaching. We would like to build a university following the pathway of listening to you and knowing what you are thinking of, what you are looking for, and what you are requesting.” He added.

Most of the top ten are going to master programmes. President Liu Gonghui cares about their sustainable development. He specifically raised question most concerned by the students, such as “what subject weakens you most during the entrance exam to master programme”, “where the gap locates between BISTU and other top universities in respect of foundation courses and specialty courses”, “during the four years, whether the class supervisor has offered serious guidance for future planning of each student”, etc.

The students mentioned their problems and question when transferring between majors or attending the exams. They hoped that the university could improve course syllabi for the convenience of transferring to other majors and offering a freer environment for master progammes exempt from entrance exam. They also produced valuable suggestions for education and career planning of the students.

When the talk came to the end, President Liu Gonghui stressed that the top ten students are models for all BISTU students. Their benchmarking experiences are valuable. The university will publicize, via all sorts of media, their stories and share their successes with all other students.
