Saint-Denis International School Visited BISTU

Beijing, 19th May 2025 (BISTU)--- Vice President Xiao Zhisong met with delegation of Saint-Denis International School on 19th May 2025.

Xiao Zhisong extended warm greetings to Saint-Denis International School delegation and offered an introduction to educational features, academic disciplines, and talent cultivation of BISTU as well as current cooperation with Sino-French Engineer School of Beihang University. Xiao Zhisong added that the University upholds open-door education, continuously expands global network, and aims to build a globally engaged institution. We hope to strengthen cooperation with institutions in France, or even in Europe, and attract more students to choose to study with BISTU.

Vice Principal Jérome Navier of Saint-Denis International School expressed that exchanges and communication in the past week strengthened his understanding of educational strengths of BISTU. International Director Tingting Arson of the School offered an introduction regarding educational history and global education of the School and information about Alliance française in Pays-de-la-Loire. Nassim Mountassif, Manager of Team Cheverny shared exchanges and communication between his team and BISTU basketball team.

Both institutions conducted in-depth discussions on a variety of topics, including communication with French universities at Alliance française in Pays-de-la-Loire, jointly-designing curricula with feature in information technology, running BISTU-based short-term training programs for French teachers and students, strengthening exchanges between BISTU basket team and Team Cheverny, etc.

The meeting and discussions were attended by directors and deans of Department of International Affairs, College of Continuing Education, and College of International Education.

A week-long training and exchange has been held between Team Cheverny, four of whose four players ranking top 30 in world 3V3, and BISTU basketball team whose players have presented outstanding performances in games of various levels. Team spirit and fair play principle were highlighted as two parties competed in an open-mind, cooperative, and mutual-respect manner.

Civilizations flourish through exchange and grow richer through mutual learning. Sports are not just about competition—they serve as bridges of culture and friendship. In this era, sports have transcended medals and awards. The visit of Saint-Denis International School thus built a platform of exchange and communication based on sports and culture, adding new vitality to healthy, sustainable development of Sino-French relationship.
