Beijing, 21st May 2025 (BISTU)--- Vice President Xiao Zhisong met with delegation of Czech University of Finance and Administration on 20th May 2025. Both institutions signed a memorandum of understanding for future cooperation. The meeting and signing ceremony were attended by President Liang Shiqiang of Changping District People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and personnel from relevant units of Changping District.

Xiao Zhisong extended warm welcome to the University of Finance and Administration delegation and offered an introduction to BISTU in respect of educational characteristics, academic disciplines and programs, research strengths, talent cultivation, and employment of graduates. Xiao Zhisong pointed out that the University of Finance and Administration is to be the very first partner of BISTU in the Czech Republic. It will inject new vitality into educational globalization at BISTU. He expressed that both universities could promote inter-disciplinary integration to support innovation of financial technologies and to facilitate development of digital transformation and high-quality development in the field of finance and management.

Emil Šenkýř, Rector and Chairperson of the Board of the Directors, and Petr Budinský, Vice Rector for International Relations and Lifelong Learning, expressed thanks to the warm reception and introduced the University of Finance and Administration. It is an honor to be the first partner of BISTU in the Czech Republic. They added that the future of cooperation will see explorations in the field of two-bound exchange and communication of faculty and students, joint academic research on application of artificial intelligence in finance, etc.

Liang Shiqiang offered an introduction to foreign exchanges and communication in Changping District and congratulated both institutions on establishing friendly cooperation. Changping District People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries will work as the bridge for BISTU and the University of Finance and Administration to achieve high-quality development on both sides. He said.

Xiao Zhisong and Emil Šenkýř signed the memorandum of understanding, symbolizing the establishment of formal links between the two institutions. Cooperation will be conducted in teaching, research, and talent cultivation, according to the MoU.

The meeting and signing ceremony were also attended by Jiang Meiji, a program coordinator of Czech University of Finance and Administration, Qian Zhengmiao, Deputy Secretary of Changping District Education Working Committee of the CPC, Yao Yong, Level Four Division Rank Official of Foreign Affairs Office of Changping District, Sun Yiwen, Deputy Secretary-general of Changping District People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries as well as directors and deans of BISTU Department of International Affairs, Business School, College of Management Science and Engineering, College of Continuing Education, and College of Applied Technology.
