Beijing, 1st November 2024 (BISTU)--- President Guo Fu visited and joined ceremonies with Beijing No. 22 Middle School and Beijing Jingshan School on establishment of BISTU premium student pools. The signing ceremony was attended by Vice President Wang Xingfen of BISTU, Chairman Gao Yujun and Principal Xing Ying of Beijing No. 22 Middle School, Chairman Li Zhiwei of Beijing Jingshan Education Group, and Vice Principal Hao Liping of Beijing Jingshan School.

On the signing ceremony, Guo Fu offered an introduction to recent progresses that BISTU has made in respect of education, science and technology innovation, and social service. He expressed that middle school education is where students firstly get access to innovative thinking and practical skills. Future days would see cooperation between both middle schools and BISTU in integrated education, AI courses, and academic exchanges. Our objective is to nurture high quality talents of applied learning with strong hands-on skills, innovative awareness, and global horizon. He added that efforts should also be invested in exploring a new, integrated pathway of education running through middle schools to universities. Respective advantages and strengths of universities and middle schools combined together would help build a bridge of effective connection in different educational phases. Guo Fu said.

Wang Xingfen explained the feature-based education, undergraduate admissions, and summer schools organized at BISTU. She expressed that BISTU would like to work together with middle schools to strengthen innovative thinking and information technology-based learning.

Both middle schools expressed warm welcome to BISTU delegation headed by Guo Fu. In-depth discussions were held on academic learning and talent cultivation and consensus was reached on resources sharing, staff training offered with middle schools, and courses provided by BISTU.

The plaques of “Premium Student Pool” were respective presented to Beijing Jingshan School and Beijing No. 22 Middle School by Guo Fu and Wang Xingfen. On behalf of BISTU, Wang Xingfen signed the agreements on establishing premium student pools.

Establishment of premium student pools is an important policy of the University in implementing the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education. The Pools provided new platforms for exchange and communication between middle schools and BISTU, enhanced connections with middle schools, and expanded social influence and reputation of the University.
