Beijing, 17th May 2023 (BISTU)--- Hosted by Academic Affairs Office and organized by Information Control Center of Automation School, the 15th BISTU RIGOL Cup Electronic Design Competition launched on 4th April 2023 successfully completed at the end of April.




The Competition attracted 54 teams from 6 schools. Standing out were three first prize winners, 9 second prize winners, 17 third prize winners, and winners of “works with greatest potentials”.
In order to commend winners and motivate students to actively participate in academic subject competitions, commendation ceremony was held on 10th May 2023 at Art and Science Building of Taihanglu Campus. The awarding ceremony chaired by Li Fang of Automation School was attended by Deputy Director Zheng Xiaobo of Academic Affairs Office, representative of winners, Li Zhensong from School of Information and Communication Engineering, Yang Pengfei from School of Applied Sciences, Wang Yang and Li Yue from School of Automation, and representation of the sponsor.

When addressing the awarding ceremony, Zheng Xiaobo stressed that academic subject competition was an important part in cultivating hands-on skills of students at BISTU. National College Students Electronic Design Competition was a high-level one. It was hoped that all contestants would be better prepared for this competition based on their experiences accumulated during RIGOL Cup.

Manager Zhang Wenhui of RIGOL, the sponsor of the Competition, offered an introduction to the Company and expressed that the Company would continue to provide support for students attending state-level electronic design competitions. RIGOL presented honor certificates and trophies to award winners.

Closely linking to teaching, laying focus on fundamental knowledge, and pursuing frontier knowledge, BISTU electronic design competition would promote development of electronic and information-related modules, guide BISTU schools in cultivating innovative competence and team spirit of students, strengthen training of hands-on skills and engineering practice, enhance students’ ability in electronic design, and encourage and motivate students to participate in extracurricular activities. It would lay a solid foundation for students to attend the 2023 National College Students Electronic Design Competition.
