Beijing, 30th May 2025 (BISTU)--- Chairperson Xie Jiangling of the University Council met with Beijing Technology and Business University delegation headed by Li Zhongqi, Vice Chairperson of the University Council, on 29th May 2025.

Xie Jiangling produced a brief introduction to the University and pointed out that BTBU’s achievements in building an alliance for universities in the field of business and economics are very impressive, which has provided valuable reference for high-quality development of BISTU. It is hoped that the two universities would strengthen communication and work together to make new progresses. He said. Li Zhongqi spoke highly of the progresses of BISTU, especially the successful construction of the new campus. Li commented that BTBU expected to deepen cooperation with BISTU to build a new phase of mutual development.

Vice Chairperson Yu Shijie of the University Council hosted the discussion. He highly praised the achievements that BTBU has made in winning approval of doctoral programs. He explained the characteristics and highlights of BISTU in contributing to fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. BISTU looked forward to fruitful cooperation between the two universities based on mutual learning and mutual benefits. Yu Shijie added.

Li Zhongqi expressed that BISTU boasts a profound educational heritage and distinctive academic strengths. Recent years have witnessed tremendous progresses of the University in a number of fields. The two universities have a lot to learn from each other. It is expected that both parties would strengthen exchanges and communication and jointly explore a new pathway to provide better service with high-quality development of Beijing. Li said.

Director Mi Jie of Department of Human Resources and Director Zhang Jingpo of Department of Student Affairs shared their experiences and practices in professional ethics development for teachers and political and ideological education for students.

Group discussions were then organized on a variety of topics concerning future cooperation between the two universities.

The meeting was joined by Director Ni Guohua of BTBU Department of Publicity, Director Du Shizhi of BISTU Department of Publicity, directors and deans of BTBU departments and colleges, and directors and deans of BISTU departments and colleges.
