Beijing, 27th September 2022 (BISTU)--- Seminar on building a university league in Shahe Higher Education Zone, chaired by Deputy Director Liu Chang’an of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, completed on 22nd September 2022. The Seminar was attended by leaders of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Management Committee of Shahe Higher Education Zone, and universities of the league. Vice President Chen Xin attended the seminar on behalf of BISTU. And the meeting was presided by Vice President Huang Haijun of Beihang University.  

Liu Chang’an said that University League in Shahe Higher Education Zone was an important measure taken by CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal Government in promoting development of higher education. The league aimed at sharing resources, obtaining joint development, and innovating mechanisms of education. Universities of the league would work with each other to achieve mutual development with support from Beijing Municipal Education Commission.  

Secretariat of the league delivered a report on progress and planning of University League in Shahe Higher Education Zone. And reports related to issues regarding universities were respectively delivered by Vice President Chen Xin, Vice President Huang Haijun of Beihang University, Vice President Zhang Jianhua of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Vice President Li Jianjun of Central University of Finance and Economics, Deputy Secretary An Yu of CPC China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) Committee, Deputy Secretary An Qing of China Foreign Affairs University, and Director Zhao Qiang of Comprehensive Administration Office in Changping Campus of Beijing Normal University.  

Requirements on future work of University League in Shahe Higher Education Zone were raised respectively by Director Liu Xiao of Higher Education Department of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Director Li Shanting of Science & Technology & Postgraduate Department of Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, and Director Liu Qiang of Shahe Higher Education Zone.
