Guo Fu Visited the Second High School Attached to BNU

Beijing, 22nd April 2025 (BISTU)--- President Guo Fu visited the Second High School Attached to BNU on 22nd April 2025 to enhance coordinated system of education and explore new pathways of talent cultivation. Principal Wang Hua of the Second High School Attached to BNU met with Guo Fu and delegation members.

Guo Fu provided a recap of BISTU, focusing on explorations and practices of the University in nurturing outstanding talents with coordination of higher education and basic education. He pointed out that a talent cultivation system at BISTU has been established with distinctive features, followed by evident progresses in academic disciplines, talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, and commercialization of research findings. Guo Fu hoped that the cooperation between BISTU and the Second High School Attached to BNU will help motivate both institutions to explore innovative models of education so as to nurture future-oriented outstanding talents.

Wang Hua explained innovative practices of the Second High School Attached to BNU in respect of curricular reform, scientific and technological education, and development of students’ comprehensive qualities. A number of featured student societies and associations have been formed in the field of artificial intelligence, robotics, aeromodel making, etc., which greatly helped students unlock their potentials. It is hoped that collaboration with BISTU would facilitate resource sharing so that a broader platform of learning will be available for students’ growth. Wang Hua added.

Discussions were conducted on cooperative issues such as “AI plus education”, guidance provided with science and technology competitions, development of innovative courses, and coordinated staff development.

The survey was joined by Vice President Chen Xin, Vice President Wang Xingfen, Assistant to the President Zheng Yanpu, and directors of Department of Academic Affairs and Department of Admissions and Career Services.
