
The delegation visited University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP). Both institutions reached consensus on 2+2 studying in China degree program in business administration and mutual development in respect of staff development and team building. The delegation also held talks with University of Wollongong Malaysia on overseas education, staff training, and academic research, followed by a memorandum of understanding signed by both parties.



BISTU delegation visited Thailand higher educational institutions, i.e., Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Asian Institute of Technology, Panyapiwat Institute of Management and Bangkok Thonburi University and reached consensus on Sino-Thailand educational cooperation, studying in China programs, training programs offered at BISTU, and exchange of faculties. Official inter-school ties were established via signing cooperative agreements with Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Asian Institute of Technology, and Panyapiwat Institute of Management.

BISTU delegation then visited Chinese Embassy Thailand and met with Counselor Education Feng Junying. Yu Shijie expressed gratitude to the Embassy for the support with the visit to Thailand universities and offered an introduction to BISTU in respect of development philosophies, academic discipline construction, talent cultivation, and international exchange and cooperation. Feng Junying explained the status quo and future of Sino-Thailand educational cooperation and produced some advices on areas and pathways of conducting cooperation with Thailand universities. The delegation also visited Thailand Confucius Institute of Maritime Silk Road.
Visits to global partners and potential partners have strengthened the links with Malaysian and Thailand higher educational institutions and established official cooperative relationships with four universities. The global influence of BISTU was enhanced in South Asia, which laid a solid foundation for strengthening cooperation with higher educational institutions along the belt and road.
