BISTU International Students Joined Ming Dynasty Culture Forum 2024

Beijing, 14th July 2024 (BISTU)--- Ming Dynasty Culture Forum 2024, themed on “Glorious time of Ming Dynasty” and aiming to promote preservation and utilization of Ming culture, was held on 13th July 2024 in Changping District. Chairman Xie Jiangling of University Council was invited to the Forum.

BISTU international students from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, and Pakistan joined the Forum. Xie Jiangling talked to the students and pointed out that Ming culture is a part of importance in Chinese culture and has far-reaching influence. As the capital city of Ming Dynasty, Beijing was deeply influenced by Ming culture and is rich in Ming dynasty cultural heritage. Chinese civilization is extensive and profound, and has a long history stretching back to antiquity. He stressed that BISTU has been attaching great importance to educational globalization and committed to building a bridge of global cultural exchanges. As of today, international students of BISTU are from 43 countries and regions and alumni of BISTU are making contributions in every corner of the world. Xie Jiangling encouraged international students to cherish and relish the opportunity of learning at BISTU to experience the richness of Chinese culture so as to make contributions to building a shared future for human kind.

The Forum

A student from Laos, when receiving interview, said that “the event is great. It offers an opportunity for me to learn about Ming culture and history. I am particularly impressed with the seven voyages of Zheng He. I learned new knowledge and personally felt the extensive and profound Chinese culture.” A studnet from Pakistan commented that “the Forum offered new knowledge about China. I truly appreciate the openness and inclusiveness of Ming Dynasty. And I also get to know a lot of new friends. It is a precious experience for me.”

BISTU international students enhanced their cultural qualities and deepened their understanding and love of Chinese culture via attending the Forum. Receiving the care and encouragement from Xie Jiangling, they said they would learn knowledge in a more active manner to contribute to Sino-foreign cultural exchanges.
