Beijing, 20th April, 2016(BISTU)--- Research on Multi-objective Optimization of VIENNA Rectifier Based on NSGA-II Algorithm, an academic essay by BISTU postgraduate student Chang Wei, attracted high attention of scholars home and abroad on 2016 Symposium on Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (SPEED 2016). With appraisal of board members including academicians and famous experts, this essay was granted the award of Essay of Academic Excellence and will be recommended to be published on Proceedings of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. This essay is one of the few essays written by postgraduate students in universities other than those from 985 or 211 project ones.


Research on Multi-objective Optimization of VIENNA Rectifier Based on NSGA-II Algorithm was directed and supervised by Prof. Wang Jiuhe and Chen Qili. The topic is in accordance with research orientation of China’s electrical engineering in the 13th Five-year Plan. And this award symbolized that BISTU has been one of the leading schools in the research on multi-objective optimization and nonlinear control of rectifier.
Symposium on Power Electronics and Electrical Drives was an important annual academic seminar sponsored in 2005 by a number of famous universities, including Zhejiang University, Tsinghua University, Harbin University of Technology, etc. The organizing committee is composed of famous experts and scholars in this field and the symposium has become an annual meeting with substantial academic influence.
