Beijing, 3rd June 2023 (BISTU)--- Seminar on Talent Cultivation in Diligence and Honor Experimental Class, attended by Vice President Xiao Zhisong, was held at BISTU on 2nd June 2023. The Seminar was chaired by Director Mi Jie of Academic Affairs Office and also attended by faculties and staff of Academic Affairs Office, Office for Admissions and Career Consultation, and Students Affairs Office as well as schools where six diligence and honor experimental classes were based, i.e., Robotics Engineering, Intellisense Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Information, Computer Science, and Accounting (Intelligent Accounting).  

Policies and teaching and research arrangements for diligence and honor experimental classes were explained by Mi Jie, Director Wang Lei of Office for Admissions and Career Consultation, and Deputy Director Chen Hongying of Students Affairs Office. Featured cultivation model and issues concerning learning and studies of diligence and honor experimental class students as well as opportunities and challenges with which diligence and honor experimental classes were facing were discussed by related faculties and staff.  

After reviewing the reports and discussions, Xiao Zhisong produced positive comments on featured cultivation model and phased progress of the diligence and honor experimental classes. He pointed out that the diligence and honor experimental classes were models for nurturing outstanding talents. We must enhance out political awareness, learn and implement the philosophies of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and speeches on education, and apply theoretical guidance to talent cultivation to constantly enhance the quality of talent cultivation. We were to continuously strengthen the interconnectivity between admissions, cultivation, and job-hunting, promote integrated cultivation of undergraduate and postgraduate students, and attract outstanding students to diligence and honor experimental classes. We would bring our feature in information technology into full play, strengthen our sense of responsibility, and make due contributions to high quality development of the nation.
