Beijing, 12th May, 2016(BISTU)--- President Wang Yongsheng meets with Prof. Ciaran O Cathain, President of Athlone Institute of Technology who is delivering lectures to BISTU students.

On behalf of BISTU, President Wang Yongsheng extends warmest welcome to President O Cathain and positively comments on substantial progress on joint master program in Master of Computer Software. He hopes that the two institutions continues to work closely together to expand cooperation to other professional areas. As President of Athlone Institute of Technology, Professor O Cathain has dutifully fulfilled the mission of Honorary Professor and Honorary Member of BISTU Academic Committee with a noble sense of responsibility. Professor O Cathain expresses that BISTU students are welcome to choose Athlone Institute of Technology as one of their learning destinations. He looks forward to strengthening cooperation with BISTU in the respect of joint master and doctoral degree programs and expects that meaning achievements would be made in faculty exchange and joint research. Professor O Cathain points out that he has found BISTU students are excellent in language proficiency and professional qualities through his series of lectures last year. He expects to meet more students in this year’s lectures and seminars. Following the meeting, Professor O Cathain delivers an academic report on Becoming World-class Entrepreneur for postgraduate students of School of Economics and Management. Combing the background of popular entrepreneurship and innovation as well as cases of successes in Ireland and other countries, Professor O Cathain offers a detailed introduction to and explanation of qualities of being an entrepreneur, growth, operation, and management of entrepreneurial firms, and the role of government in entrepreneurial choice. Also he lays emphasis on the importance of innovation for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial firms. Faculties and students deepen their understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship with Professor O Cathain’s cases, interactive activities, and professional analysis.
In addition to this seminar, Professor O Cathain will also deliver other academic seminars, such as a coming one titled Institutional Reform---Ireland as an Example.
