Beijing, 30th July 2023 (BISTU)--- Jointly sponsored by a number of associations including Science and Engineering Commission of Association of Fundamental Computing Education in Chinese Universities and co-organized by Kunming University of Science and Technology, Harbin Normal University, Educoder, and XuetangX, the 2nd National College Students Competition for C Programming themed on “Programming for the future in an intelligent new era” successfully concluded on 24th June 2023. It attracted over ten thousand college students from 456 universities of China. The awarding ceremony saw BISTU teams supervised by Chen Linan, Qian Junying and Liu Xiaodan being honored for their outstanding performances, i.e., 4 first prize winners, 2 second prize winners and 15 third prize winners. All prize winners were from School of Economics and Management, including 2 enrolled in 2021 and 19 in 2022. Chen Linan and Qian Junying won the honor “”Outstanding Supervising Teachers”.  

School of Information Management has been attached enough importance to cultivating innovative awareness and comprehensive design skills of students. With academic subject competitions as the starting point, the School has been strengthening students’ competences in programming and engineering practice to constantly improve the quality of talent cultivation. Supported by “C programming language design module” of Yunnan Province, C Programming Group of the School actively participated in cross-university, cross-disciplinary, cross-region exchange and communication. Attention has been paid to integration of ideological and political elements in teaching and cultivation of core values.  

All faculties of the Group have fully mobilized motivated students to work even harder for preparation of the Competition. They encouraged students to view the competition as an opportunity to face challenges and train themselves in practice so as to write new chapters of life with their youth and perspiration.
