Beijing, 10th April, 2019, (BISTU)— BISTU Admissions Conference for 2019, attended by Secretary General Wang Chuanliang of CPC BISTU Committee, Vice President Xu Baojie, directors of all divisions and offices, deans and vice deans of all schools, chairs of departments, and representatives of admissions offices and hosted by Vice President Chen Gang, successfully concludes on Xiaoying Campus on 10th April 2019.
Wang Chuanliang positively comments that admissions in 2018 have been successful and effective. He says that admissions serve as the lifeline of university development. In the past year, the University seriously implements policies and spirit of Central Party Committee, the State Council, and Beijing Municipality. We have further perfected the admissions mechanism, scientifically made admissions planning, and organized a number of admissions campaigns. “Zero defects” and “zero complaints” have been achieved with admissions for a number of successive years and quality of newly-enrolled students has been constantly improving, which lays solid foundation for enhancement of overall educational quality at BISTU.
Wang Chuanliang raises requests on admissions in 2019. He points out that reform of Gaokao (college entrance examination) and admissions has increasingly been intensified. New situations have been there for admissions of the University. All divisions, offices, and schools much attach enough importance to admissions to seize opportunities, prevent risks, and facilitate development. Firstly, admissions shall be conducted from political, comprehensive, systematic, dynamic perspective. All faculties and staff shall be active and contribute to comprehensive reform of the whole university. Secondly, construction of academic disciplines and programs shall be further enhanced whilst highlighting the features in information technology. Talent cultivation plans shall be optimized and quality of talent cultivation shall be improved. And thirdly, work arrangement of CPC BISTU Committee shall be seriously, carefully implemented based on requirements of supervising institutions and sectors. It is required that all faculties and staff of the University shall spare no efforts to complete admissions for 2019. Meanwhile, it is recommended that admissions for 2020 shall be prepared when necessary.
