Beijing, 20th September 2023 (BISTU)--- Students of BISTU School of Electromechanical Engineering have made outstanding performances on the 16th Innovation Competition for Advanced Mechanical Drawing Technology and Product Information Modeling held at Chongqing Jiaotong University from 28th July to 31st July 2023. Chen Yifan won a second prize and Chen Xin and Meng Yuechen won third prizes.
The Competition was divided into four sectors, i.e., machinery, architecture, road and bridge, and hydro-engineering. It attracted around 10,000 students of 1,190 teams from over 700 universities of China. Over 6,000 contestants were in machinery sector.
Students of BISTU School of Electromechanical Engineering have made outstanding performance in 2022 the 8th Engineering Design Expression Competition (the selective trials for the 16th Innovation Competition for Advanced Mechanical Drawing Technology and Product Information Modeling), i.e., a group second prize in undergraduate machinery two-dimension section, 2 group second prizes in undergraduate machinery three-dimension section, and 10 winners of first or second prizes in machinery section.
Innovation Competition for Advanced Mechanical Drawing Technology and Product Information Modeling, the top level competition in engineering drawing, has been listed as a subject competition for universities by China Association of Higher Education in 2018. It was normally referred to as the Olympics of engineering drawing. Aiming at nurturing craftsmanship, motivating students in their innovative awareness, exploring the future of engineering drawing, and innovating means and methods engineering graphics, the Competition would strengthen students’ capability in engineering drawing in a holistic manner.
