BISTU Won First Prizes in RoboMaster 2023

Beijing, 28th April 2023 (BISTU)--- The 22nd RoboMaster 2023 Mecha Master University League Competition (Northwest) successfully completed at Xi’an Jiaotong University. The Competition attracted 24 teams from universities like University of Science and Technology China, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xidian University, etc. Sirius, a BISTU team composed of students from School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronic Engineering, won two first prizes in 3v3 and infantry session.  

  

The two sessions were attended by 12 team members and two supervisors, i.e., Su Yiheng and Li Tianshu. With joint efforts, they have been fully prepared for the competition and perfectly completed mechanical structure, circuits, and control programs of the two robots. Their performance in the competition was outstanding.  

  

Sirius was built by School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronic Engineering in 2021 and attracted a number of members from School of Electromechanical Engineering and School of Automation. With great support from School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronic Engineering, the Team has completed building 8 robots and become a winner of a series awards in state-level and provincial level competitions. Innovative practical ability and comprehensive quality of team members were also enhanced. This year Sirius would cooperate with Beijing Forestry University team to attend the coming 22nd RoboMaster 2023 Mecha Master Super Contest.  

As a session of National Robotics Competition for University Students, RoboMaster Mecha Master University Series was a platform for academic exchange among science and technology enthusiasts around the world. Since its establishment in 2013, the RoboMaster has been committed to their mission – “honor the youths, empower ideas, serve young engineers across borders, and make their dreams come true”. The RoboMaster is also dedicated to tapping the potential of young talents with engineering background while widely passing on the beauty of science & technology as well as innovation to the public.
