BISTU Team won Chassis Design Award in 2023 FSAC

Beijing, 13th November 2023 (BISTU)— Guided by China Association for Science and Technology and sponsored by China Society of Automotive Engineers, 2023 Formula Student Autonomous China (FSAC) was successfully held from 7th to 12th November 2023 in Hefei of Anhui Province. The competition attracted 77 teams of electric vehicles and 31 teams of autonomous cars. Around 4,000 people got involved as representatives of enterprises, judges, working staff, and volunteers. BISTU MCT team supervised by Wang Liyong and Su Qinghua was granted Chassis Design Award, the first time that a BISTU team has ever won single-item award in FSAC.

FSAC laid focus on autonomous driving, including structure and principles of vehicles, design and simulation, operation of vehicle electric systems, building security framework for autonomous driving, programming and testing of various algorithms for autonomous driving, etc. Having overcome a series of difficulties, BISTU team independently designed and manufactured a new autonomous car with outstanding performance and high-degree security. All team members faced challenges with courage and worked hard for the honor and for realization of their dreams.

The competition is a game of speed and passion as well as a feast for science and technology innovation. It offered college students a platform to learn frontier technology of new energy cars. It was also an opportunity for auto industry to nurture future talents for intelligent electric vehicles. Following the new trend and new demand of new energy vehicles, FSAC helped strengthen contestants’ competences in self-directed innovation and engineering practice. It has become a talent pool for auto industry of China.
