BISTU and Baku Engineering University Signed MoU

Beijing, 10th July 2025 (BISTU)--- President Guo Fu met with Azerbaijan Baku Engineering University delegation on 10th July 2025. Both institutions signed memorandum of understanding on future cooperation.

Guo Fu extended warm greetings to the delegation of Baku Engineering University and offered an introduction to BISTU in respect of educational features, academic disciplines and programs, research strengths, talent cultivation, and employment of graduating students. Guo Fu pointed out that Baku Engineering University is the first partner of BISTU in Azerbaijan, bringing new vitality into educational globalization at BISTU. Under the grand context that the friendly cooperation between China and Azerbaijan is being strengthened, both institutions could work together in faculty and student exchange, joint research, joint cultivation, etc. to contribute to Sino-Azerbaijan educational and cultural exchange and communication.

Vice Rector Atraba Gul of Baku Engineering University extended thanks to the warm reception and provided an introduction to the university. The summit meeting between the two heads of state in April this year fully demonstrated the profound development and high-level mutual trust in bilateral relations between China and Azerbaijan. It reflected the positive momentum of extensive cooperation across various fields including political, economic, and cultural exchanges. Baku Engineering University would like to work together with BISTU to promote mutual development and deepen the understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries. Atraba Gul said.

Guo Fu and Atraba Gul signed the Memorandum of Understanding, symbolizing establishment of the formal cooperative relationship between the two institutions.

Detailed discussions were conducted on dual undergraduate degree programs and studying in China programs as well as future cooperation in teaching, research, and talent cultivation.

The meeting and discussions were joined by directors and deans of Department of International Affairs, College of Computer Science, and College of International Education.
