Beijing, 29th November 2022 (BISTU)--- Upon invitation, BISTU Postgraduate School, International Cooperation Department, School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, and School of Information and Communication Engineering attended the Forum on Development of International Education Cooperation and Quality Sino-Foreign Joint Running of Schools organized via video links on 26th November 2022.
Organized by Beijing University of Technology, the Forum on Development of International Education Cooperation and Quality Sino-Foreign Joint Running of Schools was aimed at implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, actively promoting international education exchange and quality development of Sino-foreign cooperative programs, and sharing successful experiences of quality joint running of schools. The Forum welcomed over 300 attendants, including Irish Ambassador Beijing, International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Ministry of Education, China Education Association for International Exchange, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government as well as presidents of universities home and abroad, international directors of these universities, and project officers of joint running schools or cooperative programs.
Aiming at improving the Sino-foreign cooperative program in electronic information (postgraduate), International Cooperation Department took the lead and attended the Forum together with Postgraduate School, School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, and School of Information and Communication Engineering. The keynote speeches and sub-forums offered insightful reports on international education exchange, opportunities and challenges for educational globalization in the New Era, cultivation of quality globalized talents, policies on Sino-foreign cooperative programs, quality assurance for Sino-foreign cooperative programs, class teaching model, and building a globalized educational environment.
Director Qu Li of BISTU International Cooperation Department (Dean of College of International Education) attended the Forum on behalf of the University. She commented that the Forum was the very first substantial activity of exchange and communication since the Sino-foreign cooperative program was approved at BISTU. It would help all schools and divisions of the University in learning from successful experiences and raising the level and quality of Sino-foreign cooperative programs. International Cooperation Department would continue to expand the scope of exchange and communication with peer universities to make our cooperative program a model one among institutions supervised by Beijing Municipality.
