According to the Notification of the Determination of newly-added Candidates of “100 Social Science Talents Project of Beijing” of 2012 jointly issued by the Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Committee, Federation of Social Science Circles of Beijing, Philosophy and Social Science Planning Office of Beijing , Professor Huang Wenzhong has become a candidate of this project.  

100 Social Science Talents Project is a significant measure that Beijing government has taken to promote the development of local philosophy and social science. It has become a platform for the talent cultivation and a brand of the build-up of talent force in this field. Led by the Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Committee, this project was conducted under the cooperation of Federation of Social Science Circles of Beijing and Philosophy and Social Science Planning Office of Beijing. Launched in 1995, it has brought about favorable social effects since.  Hundreds of young and middle-aged scholars have been funded, most of whom have stood out as the backbones of related disciplines and research fields.
