Beijing, 28th December 2023 (BISTU)--- “Love and Future @ Changping & BISTU”, the celebration party aiming at strengthening cooperation with local governments was held at BISTU Shahe Campus on 27th December 2023. The event was attended by Deputy Secretary Qi Chunli of CPC Changping District Committee, Vice Chairman Wang Jian of CPPCC Changping District Committee, Secretary Xie Jiangling of CPC BISTU Committee, and President Guo Fu.  

Themed on “Love and Future @ Changping & BISTU”, the celebration depicted a story of BISTUers working together with people of Changping District in pursuing dreams and building futures via three sections, i.e., patriotic young people, working with you, and looking to the future.  

Xie Jiangling addressed the Party. On behalf of the University, he expressed sincere thanks and warm welcome to Changping District, particularly Shahe Town, Machikou Town, and Management Committee of Shahe Higher Education Zone, for their generous support with development of BISTU. The celebration party represented the University’s initiative in integrating into new development pattern of Changping District. Looking to 2024, the University would stick to the principle of serving national, municipal and local development, strengthen cooperation with local governments, attach importance to talent cultivation and commercialization of research projects, bring new vitality to building Beijing into an international center of science and technology innovation, and add new momentum to regional social economic development.  

Deputy Secretary Qi Chunli of CPC Changping District Committee addressed the celebration and commented that the cooperation between BISTU and Changping District had a bright future and would bring new momentum of development to Changping. Meanwhile, the District would continue to provide due support with development of BISTU to write a new chapter in school-local government integration so as to contribute to our mission of building Beijing into an international center of science and technology innovation. 

The performances followed were unveiled jointly by Qi Chunli, Wang Jian, Xie Jiangling, Guo Fu, Huang Chengkai (world championship of aerobics and outstanding supervising teaching for students associations at BISTU), and Zhang Zuoming (the adbassador for 2023 Beijing College Student Dance Festival).  

The event specially invited resettlement villagers once lived in Dongtuo Village of Machikou Town to visit their “previous living places”. BISTU students presented flowers to the villagers for their support in resettlement, following by the beginning of the celebration activities.  

Spectacular performances of the celebration provided a feast for eyes and ears of all audiences and strengthened the consensus of building a better future for all.  

With love at Changping and BISTU, we aimed at new objectives. BISTU would continue to serve national and municipal development, offer our wisdom and strengths with social economic development in Changping District, and bring BISTU closer to more people.  

The celebration activities were also attended by Secretary Huo Kun of CPC Shahe Town Committee, President Han Manjun of NPC Shahe Town Committee, Secretary Han Wei of CPC Machikou Town Committee, President Wang Pengfei of Changping School Attached to Beijing Normal University, Director Li Guchang of Dongduo Village of Machikou Town, officials of Shahe Town and Machikou Town, all BISTU senior administrators, directors of divisions and offices, deans and secretaries of BISTU schools, representative of faculties and students, and local residents. The event livestreamed via official WeChat account of BISTU attracted more than ten thousand viewers.
