Beijing, 28th April, 2021 (BISTU) — BISTU delegation headed by Fang Deying, Vice President and Executive Deputy Director of BISTU Committee for Network Security and Informatization, visits Beijing Research Institute of Huawei on 27th April and meets with Deputy General Manager Zhang Hongding of Huawei Governmental Relations Department in Beijing and Director Wang Ziyu of Educational Collaboration Department of Huawei in Beijing.
Huawei is a global leading supplier for products in and business solutions to information and telecommunications. In the exhibition hall of Huawei in Beijing, BISTU delegation is informed of R&D of Huawei in 5G and industrial applications in the field of smart city, smart transportation, smart education, and smart healthcare.
Fang Deying expresses that Huawei is a top ICT enterprises with eminent strengths in this regard. The major R&D fields of Huawei are highly in agreement with academic strengths of BISTU. Both parties could seek all-around collaboration in respect of academic research, talent cultivation, academic discipline construction, and construction of smart campus. Strengths of both parties would lead to a successful model for collaboration between universities and enterprises.
Zhang Hongding says that Huawei would like to work together with BISTU in all possible fields, including co-building an ICT college, exploring sensor technology, and building smart campuses.
Both parties agree to explore more details with regard to business solutions to smart campus, establishment of Huawei ICT college, campus supporting plan of Huawei, etc.
The BISTU delegation members include directors of General Administration Office, Publicity Department, Academic Affairs’ Office, Information & Network Management Center, Office for Security, and University Library.
