Beijing, 19th October, 2016 (BISTU)--- Kansas State University delegation led by Dr. Marcellus Caldas, Assistant Provost for International Faculty Collaboration and Educational Programs, visit BISTU and discuss on developing further academic collaboration.
Early this year, academic links have been established between Department of Political Science of Arts and Sciences School of K-State and BISTU School of Media and Public Administration on 3+1+1 bachelor to master program. Dr. Caldas and his delegation aim at implementing the program and communicate with BISTU on details to be explored. Dr. Caldas expresses that K-State would like to sign university level MOU and effectively promote the program at both institutions. With regard to credit exchange and course mapping, the two institutions would work closely together to make things happen and to confirm all necessary details in the MOU to be signed. Says Dr. Caldas.
Information exchange between the two institutions has located similarities between BISTU School of Electromechanical Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Economics and Management, and School of Media & Public Administration and corresponding departments at K-State. Both institutions hope to conduct cooperative projects on undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Caldas also says K-State is open to all kinds of international cooperation and he would like to offer whatever support necessary.

K-State, located in Manhattan of Kansas State of the U.S., was established in 1863 as the first world class public university of the State. The University offers more than 250 undergraduate programs, 73 postgraduate programs, and 39 doctoral programs. It tops all other state university in the number of scholarship winners in respect of Rhode Scholarship, Marshall Scholarship and Truman Scholarship.
