Beijing, 9th January 2024 (BISTU)--- BISTU Expert Meeting for Postgraduate Education, addressed by Vice President Xiao Zhisong, successfully concluded on 8th January 2024 at Shahe Campus.  

Xiao Zhisong affirmed the achievements that expert committee has made in the last semester. He pointed out that postgraduate education involved systematic arrangements and experts should lay focus on promoting quality of talent cultivation. He stressed that in the first place the quality for applicants of postgraduate education should be enhanced. Second, the role of supervisors should be brought into full play in the whole process of postgraduate education. An optimized pathway of growth should be established for young supervisors. And third, field practice based for postgraduate education should also play the role of quality supervision. Feasible suggestions and advices should be produced in respect of cooperative patterns, management service, and field practice achievements to strengthen hands-on skills of postgraduate students.  

Chairman Li Ning and Chairman Huang Min of the expert committee for postgraduate education offered introductions to key issues of the semester. Prof. Yi Junkai and Prof. Zhang Yuexia, as members of the expert committee, delivered reports on teaching supervision, graduation thesis, seminars organized for postgraduate students, etc. Other experts also produced feedbacks on issues they have located and raised suggestions on 2024 version postgraduate education plan and categorized cultivation of postgraduate students.  

The meeting was attended by all experts of the expert committee for postgraduate education (the second session) and faculties and staff of BISTU Postgraduate school.
