BISTU Attended the 2nd Exhibition of College Students Achievements in Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Shahe Higher Education Zone

Beijing, 22nd May 2023 (BISTU)---BISTU delegation headed by Vice President Xiao Zhisong attended the 2nd Exhibition of College Students Achievements in Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Shahe Higher Education Zone on 19th May 2023. It was the 14th College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exhibition of BUPT co-organized by Changping District Government, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Central University of Finance and Economics. The delegation members also included Director Mi Jie and Deputy Director Zheng Xiaobo of Academic Affairs Office and over 70 faculties and students of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education of BISTU.

The Exhibition included around 120 achievements of innovation and entrepreneurship made by 8 universities based in Shahe Higher Education Zone. Works covered a wide spectrum of areas such as intelligent life, artificial intelligent, virtual reality, intelligent robots, metaverse, digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, etc. Two achievements of BISTU, i.e., Zhuohuas Blade--- a compound multifunctional rubber tapping robot and Dancing in Fields--- self-learning clustered agricultural machines, were specially invited to the exhibition. AI-based measurement of metal surface corrosiveness attended the road show of College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Symposium.

Learning from peers was an important sector in innovation and entrepreneurship education of BISTU. It would provide beneficial reference for the University to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship education and boost development of innovation and entrepreneurship projects started by faculties and students. According to Academic Affairs Office of the University, exhibition and exchange in innovation and entrepreneurship has greatly enhanced momentum of BISTU students in innovation and entrepreneurship learning. The University would cooperate with sister universities in building innovation and entrepreneurship-oriented field practice bases and exchange platforms with integration of learning, teaching, and industries, which would help facilitate whole-process, all-round talent cultivation with distinctive feature in information technology and strengthen the quality of talent cultivation at the University.
